I hope this is the right place. I would very much like to get my speedo working. Half the adapter to the trans spilled out on the highway 10 years ago. The book says Ratio 0.6538 or something. Its a stock 69 gs 400 stage 1 with the 4 speed with a 3.68 or something rear end. All the adapter on ebay are listed like 1:1.054 or something? Any repos out there, I kinda doubt finding the original. What should I do.

    Thanks guys,
    Mike

You can just eliminate the reducer and change the driven gear in the trans. What size tire are you running?

It is a 3.64 ratio most likely. You can find the correct adapters used. Check the archives here for the correct number and manufacturer.

My originals are Stewart Warner,if that helps. There are a variety on eBay,but I rarely see the correct ones that will work. On cars that don't need to be 100% correct,I just play with the speedo gears.

    3.64 (or .785 ratio) should be a yellow code/dot - Part number 396338

My reducer was missing when I bought my car. I have 3.64's too. I installed a gray driven gear and my speedo is right on the money. I checked it with my speedo app on my cell phone. But I have G60's
