buickdreamin I need a new old car ...

The time has come. Due to the wife getting a new car, I need to sell my Custom Cruiser. We've owned this car since 1994, and its still in decent shape. It's currently showing about 132,000 miles on the odometer. It's an original Erie, PA car, but it's been parked the last 4 winters.

    Particulars:

Engine: The original 305 is gone having been replaced with a chevy 355. The engine has about 54,000 miles on it and runs great. Burns no oil, gets 25 mpg on the highway (at 70 mph), and pulls like a freight train. It was a stock rebuild with the exception of a small RV type cam. Radiator was replaced at the same time as the engine.

Transmission: Original except for a couple of seals, fluid changed at 100,000 miles.

Rear: 3.23 posi differential. There are manually filled air bags in the rear springs since the original auto level quit working several years ago.

Interior: Overall in good shape. The seats are nice with no major problems. The carpet could stand to be replaced. The driver's seat is power, the cruise works good, the A/C was ice cold last year. Has power windows and locks. The driver's door panel has a chunk missing from the plastic near the bottom mounting screw.

Exterior: Car was painted about 6 years ago due to rust along the body moldings, and failed clear coat. Paint still looks good but there are some rust spots coming back up, and there are some chips that need touched up. The tires have about half tread remaining.

Underneath: The floors have a lot of surface rust on them, and the drivers floor appears to have some perforation that will need to be addressed. There is also a rust spot between the doors on the passenger side at the bottom of B pillar that will need attention. Driver's quarter also has some rust. The frame looks fine.

There are a lot of new parts on this car and the brakes were all done recently. The cassette deck doesn't work anymore, and the driver's seat rear tilt switch won't work. It's not the motor as the seat will go straight up using the middle switch. Since I never use that switch, I have never fixed it. The car has a Class III trailer hitch. I am asking $2200 for the car. Please PM or email me with any questions.
