Just bought a 53 322 to rebuild for my 23 T bucket. After looking a the balancer I noticed their is no line or mark on it. I have a 56 322 and it has a mark or line a tdc. So what up with the 53 engine . Now does one go about timing this ? Thanks Dave
You might have to get some scotch brite pads or sand paper and clean it a little more to find the mark. They can be very fine lines some times. I had trouble finding one before and just had to clean it almost down to bare metal, so good luck.
