I believe I have the feiigedair Compressor mounted correct, I have built my 455 from scratch, I did not have an original complete engine to disassemble. I have the fredgidare compressor sump at the bottom. Also the clutch electrical plug terminals are located close to the front adjustment bolt as far as I can tell it looks correct from several post pic's in this forum. I am having a little trouble with the top A/C Bracket hitting the top valve coner edge when trying to bolt it to the intake mount.. I have a new set of those buick chrome 455 so called factory correct valve covers....? Also the A/C Hose hook up's look correct. the hose hook up holes are horizontal across. One concern is the Alternator and the A/C Clutch Pulleys are lined up. Does my Compressor have the wrong belt grove placment, or do I need a duel groved Alternator Pulley? Can someone please post some pics of their conpressor mounted? Front , Back and side view. PLEASE...
    Thanks

Sounds right. The compressor mounts the wat you have it. The valve cover should be close but not touching it when its adjusted with the belt. You might have a small block upper arm. These are repoduced.
