I have a set of A/C Delco Packard solid copper core wires for sale. They are in great used shape. They are 7mm in size and have no cuts, gouges, or imperfections. (Just a very minor bit of dirt.) These wires have the words and numbers on them as follows: A/C - Delco - Packard TV-R-Suppression-7mm 2088. Took these wires off my 1970 455 GS, so they are for a big block application. I think these are a bit unusual, in they are not the commonly available fiber type core? I would like to get $30 for them, shipped to the lower 48. Any interest? Thanks. NEW PRICE John
Think those are fiber core(radio suppression) wires. The copper "core" you see is an inserted u-shaped copper wire to ensure connection to the brass terminal. Don't think solid copper core wires were available. Packard used to make 440 wire, which was 17 strands of stainless steel core, and radio reception was crap.
Thanks Marty, I guess they are nothing too different or special. Anyone interested? They work fine. New, new price $20 shipped to the lower 48. John
O.k., time to close the tread. I will keep them for spares. Thanks to all who shed some light on them. John
I'll take 'em for $20 and put 'em on my shelf to "test with" next summer (when the temp gets above 32 degrees). They should work well on my 322 nailhead. Don't sell 'em to that guy in Poland ! The electrons are all trained to ASE standards - those Euro-electrons probably all rotate to the LEFT. . . Where do I send the money ? Look for it before the end of the week. Who do I make the Cheque out to ? I spell like a Canadian - EH ?? Rip :dollar: These are American Dollars
