A lot of carbon build up exhaust

    I bought an engine about two years ago that was freshly rebuild and broken in before the project was ended by previous owner. I'm just now getting into it and notice a fear amount of shout build up on the exhausted ports.

    It's quite thick unlike the ones from my other heads. Just asking if this is normal. There was brake in motor oil in the pan.

    The carbon I see there is of no concern.

    It was probably running a little rich if its excessive.

    Yeah that's my thinking. That's was my only concern. The block looks clean other wise.
