    Hi,
I'm new to the site and just this year I purchased my first Buick (1968 GS 400 convertible). My A/C does not work and I plan to uninstall all A/C components. Does anyone have a good source for a proper metal firewall blower motor cover? I've looked at many of the sites and the best I can come up with is a plastic aftermarket piece from OPG for $120, which seems quite high for plastic.

I realize some may feel a need to tell me that I'm crazy for removing a factory component such as A/C and I welcome the feedback. My rationale is simply that I would like to see the passenger side of my engine, be able to access #6 and #8 plugs and reduce vehicle weight.

It would be great if anyone has a better source for a proper fitting metal firewall covering.

    Thanks.

that cover is a very good option, unless you make your own. With that cover, all your other components stay the same, and you heater will work.

    Welcome to the site.

Would a box from a gen 3 A body work? I have access to one and wanted to do the same thing.
