, I am new to the site and i have a 67 electra convertable, it has the original 430-4 engine with 81K miles on it it has the automatic transmision and is a little sluggish of the line I am looking for the best way to get the torque to the wheels, I also have had a hard time finding body parts for the car and wondered if anyone knew a good place on the west coast, thanks!

Start with a good tune up. Plugs, wires, rotor, cap, points if you still have them. Also air filter, PCV valve, fuel filter. Check the timing and maybe put lighter springs in the distributor to bring the timing in a little sooner.

Then get the carb cleaned up and idling good. Set the idle mixture screws and the idle screws properly so you have a good air/fuel mixture.

Change the fluid and filter in the tranny. If it's never been done before, it's time.

That should be a great start to getting the engine sorted out and the power to the pavement.
