air bags

I purchased a set of air bags and installed them. They were the thin kind and sort of squishes between the coils with only 20psi and after a month of daily driving the passenger side popped. Where can I get the thicker or better air bags from?

 

What brand are they? I don't know how they would compare to what you have, but I can supply Firestone Coil-Rite air bag kits for most of our old cars, have sold quite a few to members here, cheaper than Summit... Info/specs can be found at www.ride-rite.com and warranty is 2/yr or 24k miles.

If you'd like a price quote, tell me what your car is, and is the suspension still stock springs.

If you have the time I would like a price quote for air bags for my truck. I have a '98 Chevy K1500 4X4, I believe it would be the 2025 kit. I would also need to know S&H to zip 16125. Thanks.

 

I purchased a kit from David and I will attest to a nice product,good instructions, and they seem to be better quality than other bags I have seen.

 

Thanks Pat, I'm glad they've worked out for you. Firestone quality has been very good for us. Our typical customer is buying Ride-Ride air bag kits for truck use, but I've sold quite a few of their Coil-Rite kits for auto apps.

Tim, 2025 is the correct kit for your truck. I happen to have a couple of this one in stock, purchased at old pricing, so I can give you a better price than shipping direct from Firestone. From my Fargo stock is $198 + $21 UPS, for a 34 lb box to a residential address. Commercial delivery would cut some off the UPS fee, if you have a bonafide work address to ship to. If you would like to order, it can ship out today with credit card payment. Since these are sold thru my employer, CC is preferred.

I'd like a quote for my Apollo. All stock at the moment. Just future considerations. If you have the time.

 

I'm surprised to see Firestone does not list an Apollo application, not even a Nova. What year is your Apollo?

 

My Apollo is a '74 Hatchback

 

I'm not too sure about this (I'm no engineer or anything) but I wonder if the X-Body just doesn't lend itself to air bags.

 

Do you have rear coil spring suspension, or leaf springs? Seems to me it may be leaf springs.... = no air bags. My 73 Nova was leaf springs.

 

Leafs. Means no EASY air bags

 

I meant I can't supply air bags for a leaf spring car. Can someone else? I don't know.
