My 70 GS 455 Stage-1 Convertible Was built in March or April of 1970. What Date Code time frame would be Correct for this Car..??? Iam looking at a Alternator for sale with the following Dat Code.. Sept. 9th, 1968...Would that be Close enough..? Jim
Common parts like that were probably made only a few weeks prior to the car although I think 1-2 mos. is likely acceptable. I bought an early September '69 (IIRC) NOS alt. for my 10E Stage 1 which IMHO is a bit early but I couldn't pass it up.
