If you make ones for a 72 I'd be in line.

Sorry for the delay guys. Still waiting for some better pricing. Getting it quoted out to a few tool shops in town. When your milling aluminum that thin vibration becomes an issue to get the required surface finish you want before powder coating.

Gerry Jessie's shop did the layout but we have a 3rd party doing the machining. They are way to busy to be working on this right now.

    Thanks for your patience guys.

We have these drawn up at the school to make with aluminum as well. I guess great minds think alike, good luck with your project.

Yes, I agree. If the price is right, I would be willing to get two sets. From the pictures, these look great :TU:

Need the 69 seal plates here. I'm sure you are getting all kinds of responses like this. Not sure how much difference there are in them all. Most likely quite a bit. Thought about just making mine too, but need a set to go by too and not lucky enough to have a friend with a shop like you do! :)

    Hi Guys

We have our pricing back from the tools shop. Just looking at some shipping costs. Hope to have a final number to you by the middle of next week. We are now looking to go with black anodizing.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi John

That is definitely something we are looking at offering. If everything goes as planned we should have a real good machined finish for you.

    Thanks

Are you looking in to making them for just 70-72 models or possibly making them for additional years as well?

    Hi Brian

That would really depend on what kind of demand there is out there. Vintage Air modifications for the Buicks are keeping us real busy right now. Lots of little details to get nailed down. Have the first car done and hopefully get it fired up in the next month.

    Thanks

    Guys

We now have a firm price for the aluminum GS hood seal plates. Price based on a quantity of 25 sets will be $190.00 shipped to any of the lower 48 states. Plates will be hard black anodized.

Please remember the reproduction plates on the market that I purchased for $130.00 a set warped within 6 months.

Hope you will find this to be a competitive price.

Please respond back to thread if interested. Do not send PM. PM box will run out of room. Orders would be processed through my friends shop JH Restorations that help develop the product. Will accept PayPal or U.S. money order.

Thanks to everyone who has shown interest. If this is successful we would possibly be interested in doing the 72 style plate.

Are the pictures in your first post the anodized or powder coated version?

    Hi Scott

The ones in the picture were powder coated. That was the first set that went on my car. We are having them machined by a very well known manufactrer in the U.S. that has easy access to the hard black anodizing. Also helps keep the cost down. No issues with anodizing.

    Thanks

    Leo
