Anyone know if these 71 aluminum rockers with these square style plastic plugs might be replacements? All the aluminum rockers I've seen have had the round style plastic plugs.
They look too clean and only lightly worn to be originals from 71 with possibly 100k + miles on them....

The new ones I bought in the way back machine (83) I am pretty sure had round plastic pieces in the centers of rocker.

I think that I never saw aluminum 350 rockers, all I saw was the 70 455 .Always learning .But ask Jim Weise here on the board,he will tell you that in his opinion ,they are better then the steel ones. .Bruno.

I have a set of aluminum here & thought the aluminum were '68-9 and like 455 were 1.65 instead of 1.6 but I could be wrong about all this:).

My 71 had aluminum with the round buttons. I think it was all stock.

On my first rebuild waaaaaaaay back, the machine shop sold me rockers, shafts and square retainers like your showing.

One of the older manufacturers did them square,..they actually help keep everything lined up,..more so than the round ones

Yep, they seem to limit the space the rocker can move compared to the round buttons.
Must be a replacement version. I've only seen the original round style.
My original 71 aluminum rockers had round buttons, and were 1.55 ratio.
I believe the 68-69 also aluminum but a different style are 1.59 ratio, and the stamped steel version are 1.50 ratio.
