Screw this into the carb.. http://store.summitracing.com/partd...&N=700+4294842776+4294901877+115&autoview=sku Then use a Flare Expander to bump up to -8 AN http://store.summitracing.com/partd...839052+4294923403+4294906726+115&autoview=sku :TU:
Look at this, which is listed for a q-jet up to '74, but it's a -6 fitting http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?sub=1&part=RUS-640220&N=700+4294924496&rsview=sku Then look at this -8 fitting, which does not show it fitting a q-jet, but it also has 7/8" threads. Is the threads-per-inch different? http://store.summitracing.com/partd...&N=700+4294849374+4294906748+115&autoview=sku
Why try to connect a -8 fitting to a Q-jet at all? The needle and seat cannot possibly pass that much gasoline. Wasted effort.
I second that...I have gone in the tens in the quarter feeding a Qjet with a AN -6. -8 is overkill, not even if you had a big return set-up back to the tank.... Good luck Gary G.
Yea, but you look really BAD :idea2: If you have the -8 already I would go with, especially if it looks good.
It could be a matter of having the -8 line and fittings, and not wanting to spend the bucks for -6 line and hardware. Otherwise, would -8 line cause problems? o No:
That's what I thought when he posted the question.. Probably got the -8 lines on the cheap and is looking for a way to make them fit.. :idea2: Plus what if down the road he puts a holley on it.. Or a bigger motor.. The lines are already run.. I'm a big fan of doing things once. :TU: Belittling the guy publicly, who doesn't deserve it, is not how we work around here. :spank:
