I think this is why Jeff said you have to use a percentage. Lighter cars will be closer to actual, and heavier cars will be farther off what they actually are.o No:
After the 500(?) pounds was subtracted from the digital readout, my car was dead nuts on what it's been forever... car + me + spare + 1/8 fuel = +/- 3700lbs
It looks like to me that if you attended the event before, Dan may have used that number??????????? I came in at 3858lbs in 2009 the same as PSMCDR 2007. Even if you subtract the 500lbs off the number it was different than posted. Jim
I was actually present when Jeff mentioned the 10% to Dan. Dan did say for the "regulars" he'd just use the weight from a previous year.
My car could not be weighed it was over the 4500lbs max.. I used my prior race weight 4375. It weighed 4405 at Martin but it had 1/2 a tank of fuel .. Paul
