Ok, I went out and did it. I got myself a 14" edelbrock aircleaner and element. Too bad the rest of the engine doesn't have chrome. I did however have to buy one of those oil vent filters that comes out the top of the valve cover. Then all I had to do was cap the one end on the "T" based vacuum line and cap one of the hose ports that come off the vacuum pump thing at the front driver's side part of the car. Engine seems to really be taking in air now. However I would like to know if anyone has any 455-4V stickers available. I can get one for $7.00 but seems kinda pricey. Anyone have any for cheaper?

    Thanks, Nick

I think you can find them for $4-7, I think Jim Osborne (???) is the repro sticker guy...dig around in Smartin's parts website under "repro" parts, there are several places online that have them.

Although I'm not sure one will go neatly on the raised lettering on the Edelbrock air cleaner lid, but you could turn it around...or take a BFH and pound the raised lettering flat, then put the sticker over the pounded area, if it'll cover. :Brow:

BTW, I had one years ago, until Big Brother and his Smog Inspection Drones made me go back to a stock air cleaner - but I came out on top anyway (Olds Diesel air cleaner!)
