I'm new to the area and was wondering if there are any junkyards around here in Dallas worth checking out?

The only yards left in the area are in Grand Prairie and in Southeast Dallas. However, all they have is mostly new stuff, very little for us.

There is a yard up in Denton that caters to classic cars, however, he's pretty "proud" of his stuff price wise.

You're better off looking on this board or on eBay.

I almost qualify for a skylark junkyard.

That would be Glenn Moore out on Hwy. 205 southeast of IH30.
I would't exactly call his place a wrecking yard, although his wife may think otherwise. :spank:

He's got a large barn out behind his house FULL of Buick parts.

Oh, I was kinda hoping there would be one near by. Back home I used to go down by the junkyard once or twice a month to see what they had and it's fun. I was hoping to do the same here.

Hey Gene, what southern Chicago suburb you from?

I know i'm late on this. I don't own a computer at the moment so I've been having to use friends computer to get on line. So there's really nothing as far as looking around for classic car parts out here? That's a shame . I thought for sure there would be something out here.
