I have quite a few cam files and a few dyno files on my home page if you want to look there. http://www.mikeatwood.com

    Scott,

I have a 1966 motors manual it lists the bore and stroke for a '66 340 as 3.750" x 3.85". It has a wrist pin dia. of .9394" and a shaft dia. of 2.000". It shows a 2bbl 9.0 compression motor and a 4bbl 10.25 compression motor. There are several Carter AFB's listed as well as Rochester 2GC's and 4GC's. The cfm's aren't listed but I believe the Carter flows ~ 625 and the 2GC ~ 400 and the 4GC ~ 750. I hope this info will help you. The book is copyrighted so I can't scan it for you, sorry.

My 1966 Buick Chassis Service Manual shows the 340-4 with auto trans having the Carter AFB with primary and secondary bore diameters of 1 7/16".

The Large Venturi diameters were 1 1/8 primary and 1 1/4 secondary.

I've never seen the cfm published . Think it was more like 500 or 525. Maybe a carb expert can tell from these numbers.

I bolted an Edelbrock 600 cfm on mine when my original needed too much work.

The 340 uses the same rod as the 350 buick, it is the same specs as a 350 other than the bore is 3.75 instead of 3.8.

Rod length for the 340\350 I think is 6.385"
