I am having a hard time finding a frame for my 70 Electra. Mine is rusted out to much to repair. By my understanding only a 70 Electra will work.
A convertible frame is usually different, too. Would think that '69 and '70 convertible frames should be identical though. There is a '69 coupe still in the West El Paso U Pull it, but car was hit very hard in LR and frame is obviously bent. DVAP (desert valley auto parts) DID have a lot of large Buicks from the sixties when I walked their yard in June '17. You might try Hidden Valley, also, they are out of the city west of Maricopa, AZ. Hollander (40th Ed. Vol II - Body) lists under Frame, Page 195 - Buick '69 - 70 Conv #1760 - Electra Conv. (Wildcat Conv lists as #1758 - '69 - 70 ) Why Electra and Wildcat are different I don't know am guessing the Electra is physically larger, meaning a longer and perhaps wider frame.
Thanks for the help guys! I thought 69 and 70 frames were different. It's good news if a 69 Electra conv frame will work. Finding a cheap parts car with a decent frame isn't easy I'm finding out lol
