So just recently, I saw this on ebay.. threw a few bids on it and won it.. It was $20 something bucks The chassis is a Parma Edge, 1/24 scale, so the car body is about 8" long I think the car body is from a regular plastic model kit, held on with pins. The rubber is gone on the front wheels, and they don't look to be replaceable either. Its unique, haven't seen another. I guess it will spend some time on my shelf till I figure out what I can do with it.. maybe a new chassis.. but then how and were do I race it LOL
Those front wheels almsot look like a small round gasket, you might be able to find something to work at a hardware store.
Maybe they can help http://www.club400.net/ Here's a site with some parts listings that you can use for reference http://www.indoormotorsports.com/category/1-24-Drag-Cars--Parts-11
Thanks man! Looks like I can buy some parts and make this a roller at least... needs body work though LOL!
the chassis looks to be a normal slot car from then 70's and the body looks like the yellow GSX kit everyone has from Revelle or AMT You should be able to find a material for the wheels like a piece of foam like pipe insulation.
if your talking about the motor i think its an old slot works 16d,ive got a couple of the motors floating around here myself as far as the parma edge chassis, its a bit newer than 70's and think they were around the mid 90's. youve got a good setup, good luck finding a track you can run at.
Just a model kit body, hard body as we call them. Pretty much can use any 1/24 or 1/25 th scale model body. Yes the front tires would be O rings so you can replace them easily from Ace hardware or Home Depot, or Lowe's. Most of the time you can run these on a routed track...Drag strip, like a scale quarter or even an eighth mile track. Lots of fun! I am into slot cars mostly the 1/32 scale and HO on plastic track. Just took down the 1/32 scale track to make room to fit in the Apollo next to the Nova. Mitch

The slot cars phase in and out. In our area, there were several tracks, both road course and drag strips. There were some people that invested a lot of time and money into the cars, some owning many of them. Currently, I know of no open tracks. Wife & I each have one car. I had some vintage cars that I sold back in '98.
I am an HO dragr racer. Been doing it forever. Now on the 24th scale stuff, most of them only use plastic model kits. Most guys make custom chassis out of brass .All soldered together . Yea, O-Rings are done for fronts . They are just plain cool!!! Repaint to your liking. But don't use enamel .You get some duplicolor in a rattle can .Also get some acrylic clear to seal it all up after u paint Just remember mist the coats on nice and thin. Too fast and thick on the paint or clear and you'll have orange peel looking paint when done . Enjoy✌
Cool project even if you use it for display only. That would look cool sitting behind the bar in my future man cave.
I think Waleeed is a Bot! His post is a copy of post #1. Reported to moderator.... But thanks for resurrecting a cool old thread!
Cool find Curtis, And as mentioned above those front tires are indeed just o-rings. Back in the day there were many commercial slot car tracks around. And some had drag tracks. Search youTube but don't blink.
The car is still sitting in a box on a shelf in my bedroom closet... maybe after these new posts Ill be motivated to find some o-rings and display it
That is not a so-called "bot" (robot), just a regular person, located in an Asian country. I've already explained that in this post, started by you, remember? As you can see for yourself, "waleeed" already checked if it's possible to add a signature to his posts on the board p
