    Some yards in Wisconsin

    Hi,
Greg Hildebrant is the Wisconsin Junkyard guru. He has had some bad luck of late and not been online here much. There is a yard at Earl, WI called Kesslers, I believe. Do not go to that yard alone! There are a couple of questionable characters (being VERY charitable here!) that seem to work in the yard without much for supervision. They have some mid 60's Buicks but there prices seem a little higher than other yards. Another yard is Simon's just south of Hayward, but they just recently crushed a bunch of cars. I have been to both of these yards, but didn't buy anything. I have heard that the yard at Camp Douglas is pretty impressive, but I haven't ventured that far from Minnesota yet. If you find any yards in Northern or Western WI, let us know!
    Thanks,Tim :Comp:

    yards

    Hey,

The Camp Douglas yard is impressive. There is another near Tomah, Fountain City, Wi Rapids (I can't find it any more), Trempealu, and Scandinavia. The last place seems to just sell the complete cars. We should see about making a run in March. I'm located near Devil's Lake.

    Trempeleau(?) yard

    :Comp: Chad and Jim,
I was to the Trempeleau yard about a year ago, they had a good variety of cars, mostly 70's stuff. Had a pretty much unmolested Boattail that was one of the rustiest cars I have ever seen! (that's saying a lot since I'm from Minnesota!) Don't know much about the other yards you mentioned. Any information on what they have or prices or hours would be greatly appreciated. What kind of stuff are you looking for? I'll keep my eyes open for you guys! I am into 1st gen rivs and have a good friend that is into mid 60's Wildcats.
    Take care, Tim McCluskey :beer

    Hey Chad,

Think there may be a couple '64/'65 Larks or Specials in the Camp Douglas yard. I know of a couple '63-'65 GTO's & Tempests for sure. Might be a wagon in there as well.

Need to go there before the wood ticks come out!

Jim, If you and Chad are going on a run, stop in Green Bay and pick me up. I love going through salvage yards.

    Thanks, Scott
