Okay fellas, I need some clarification here.

As some of you are aware, I am trying to get ready to install my '70 455 into my Willys panel truck. I bought the original t400 along with the engine. I have been getting various bits of knowledge from you about using an '87 GN 200-4R in place of the t400 to get better milage on the highway.

This past week, I had a gentleman tell me that I can't use the AOD due to my using a carburater instead of injection. He says that to use the carb, I can't cruise anything less than 2300rpm. Says that the carb can't self adjust the air/fuel mixture continuously as an injected engine can. He said to use the original T400 & gear it to around 2.4-2.7 for decent cruising. Also said that the 455's hi torque won't work with an AOD.

Now I'm really confused as I only want to build this thing one time. This is why I'm asking for you experienced help in sorting this out.

    Thanks for your help.........Thom
