I have been playing with adjusting and tuning my quadraket and have been playing with the APT. although it is running fine I was wondering if there is a proper way to determine if it is adjusted correctly. Thanks Mat
Check out this link Mat. There is some good info here including answers to your question: http://www.buickpartsdirectory.com/carbs.htm This article in particular near the bottom: Quadrajet Tuning Greg
the best way to set up the apt mixter,is find a shop with a chassis dyno. bring it up to 60 mph with a 20 road horse load with a four gas scope hooked up and set the co to 1-1.5% and you will be all set. this is the most accurate way to do it.
Yup, if you don't have access to a chassis dyno, the Lars Grimsrud article shows a good method. Direct link to the article here: http://www.buickpartsdirectory.com/QJet_Tuning_Paper.doc
