Wow! http://seattle.craigslist.org/car/143407003.html 1969 Buick Special Deluxe All Original-Low Miles-Flow Master Dual Exhaust-350 Engine Drive it home! Great Project car. This item has been posted by-owner. this is in or around Marysville WA
Call me a skeptic but I almost have to believe that the price is a mistake. Either that or it is misrepresented. Of course it is possible that it is legit and is only $700. If it is then I too wish I was closer. I would be at his house tonight with cash and drive it home. If you live in that area and its legit then you should buy it right now! If you don't like the style, or wagons in general then you could turn a quick buck by reselling it on Ebay or another venue that reaches more people.
It's Legit Somebody here needs to go grab that! :3gears: I just recieved this reply from the seller...
Too bad I'm not at a good time to drop $700. I grew up in Marysville too. Did anyone else notice that it appears to have the big car wheels on it?
I don't think you have to worry about that Jamie, I got a PM from a local board member thanking me for the lead, he went to look at it last night and is picking it up today. Hopefully he will post some pics of it later. :TU:
I'm glad it's gone. I didn't want to think about it anymore. I could come up with the $700, but it has other places it needs to go. If I could turn around and sell it right away, it would be OK. But I'm glad I don't have to think about it anymore. That 76 Skylark on there looks pretty good too. One of the two cars I learned to drive in was about the same year (the other being a 73 Pontiac Ventura).
I got home from work today and called my brother who lives in Everitt. He was gonna pick the car up for me as I was going to call the guy and tell him my brother was on the way with the money. Then I read your post about a friend going to get it.I was a bit depressed but I will survive I guess.I am glad an enthusiast is getting it and not a demo driver.
