Anyone here have access to a repro black floor shift handle for a '71. Not sure if they are even available.
Mike, Shifter & console arrived Friday. All is good........er..... was good. Got the shifter apart & having the metal parts blasted. Put the black piece on the bench, so I thought. Can't locate it. I'm starting to suspect Daisy, our yellow Lab/Beagle cross mutt dog pound stray. Best dog in the world. Last year she hid a piece of my son's ERG machine, about the same size/shape/colour. Found it 6 months later unharmed. This after I bought a replacement.
My dog hid one of the small springs while I was doing a rear drum brake job outside. We gave him another one and he put it right next to the one he "stole". If you have something the same size/shape try giving Daisy that. It might work. Duane
Duane, Good idea but she won't touch anything if I'm there in the room or even the house. She lays outside a small powder room by the back door every morning. This is where we feed our two cats. Whatever might be left over disappears only after the house is vacant.
