Hey 72 Men, I've been working with the same fellow-Kent Brooks-that repo's the 72 Front Bumper Strip Kit. How many of you would be interested in buying a repo 72 Rear Bumper Guard Impact Strip? This is the strip that goes on the 72 U-Shaped Rear Guard. I have sent him a nice one to go by.He plans to start making them this fall.We just need to know how much intrest there is in the part so he can get an idea of how many to produce this fall.So let me know if you want 1 or 2 or more!I'll pass the info along to him.I'll buy several myself. You 72 men should know how hard this part is to find in good condition,so don't miss out on this chance to get one.Price is going to be around $75.00 or so. By the way he is also producing the 71 & 72 Skylark GS Front bumper guard impact strips along with the 3 piece 72 front bumper strip kit. You can order these direct from him. Call Kent Brooks 231-592-9915 Thanks Jeff:beer
Jeff I would be interested in at least 1 of the rear bumper strips. How about that rubber surround/strip for the rear tail lights? Is that something he can reproduce or is someone already doing that? I will get in touch with him regarding the front trim. Thanks!
Tail Rubber Surrounds Being Produced! Hey Randy, Kent is producing the 72 Tail Light Rubber Surrounds as i speak!I have seen photo's of one his drivers side ones & it looks awesome! Not sure what the price per pair is yet. Jeff:grin:
Tail Light Surround Waiting List? Any chance there is a notification list for those rear tail light surrounds? Very interested, thanks, George
Call Kent Brooks Hi George, I recommend giving Kent a call at 231-592-9915 He's very interested in repoing any rubber trim we need for our cars..........I thought there would be more intrest in the 72 Rear Bumper Guard Impact Strip. That is getting to be a very hard to find item these days!We all really need to step up when someone is in the mood to reproduce something for our cars!:TU:
Jeff, thanks for the phone number. If my car came with the rear bumper guards, I would love to have a set. But my car didn't. Not to mention the costs of buying the front strip and back tail light surrounds kind of limits adding on other options (havn't even considered paint or interior yet!!) :jd: I'd love to help, but can't stand up with ya on this one. Try not to get to frustrated, were all in this together. I'll try and help next time, George
I will be calling Kent on the frt and rear bumper strips, could certainly use a decent set for my ragtop. As for the bumper gaurd, well I personally think they look bulky and wreck the bumper...they also weigh a bunch and were not very common so thats probably the low demand. Later Tim
Hey Tim, I actually really like the look of bumper guards,i think they give the car a "meaner" look!I think there may be more demand than you think:Brow: How much could they weigh-10 lbs or so?Not going to affect performance that much. Jeff
Well its all personal opinion, of course. I let a couple people know who have them , perhaps they will climb onboard for a repro rubber kit as well. I don't like the front ones either:grin: later Tim
Bill, I have not heard from Kent lately.I have e-mailed him.As soon as i hear back from him i'll update this.Supposedly he is going to make some this fall/winter.I sent him i nice one that he took measurements off of back in May. He has several parts he is looking into repoing,so he's probaly busy. You may e-mail him at: kentb@brproducts.com Jeff
taillight surrounds i would be interested for 72 lark . would like to know when hes ready and prices/pics thanks andy :TU:
One thing is for sure....whether a person likes them or not does not matter (its personal taste after all), but if Kent does as good a job on those as he does on the 72 taillight rubber parts, you're gonna love them!! I have another thread started with thos, they are excellent quality pieces.... Later Tim
brand new is always good i think all new rubber would be great on my seven deuce ... once the bumper arent a nice shade of burnt red and yes the front bumber gaurds make the car
