Well.........it was fun. Bout' all I can say. Jim Gibson, John Conilogue, and Mike and Sue Verba all made the trip from Colo. to have some fun on a Saturday afternoon out here in the sticks. Jims 67 was the fastest car there bar none !!! and boy did he make some laps in the thing. This race(if thats what you want to call it,lol) was all about having a good time and we sure did. Basically a home made tree, heads up 1/8 mile, and I don't think anyone really cared to pay attention to the speeds. Pick who you wanted to run and line up. Street racin' style. Jim and John made alot of runs, what with all the rides they were passing out. I guess enough that Jim basically ran outa fuel (and towards the end even found enough traction to use the tranny brake,lol), and John went through(i think) 2 full bottles of NOS. I made 3 runs in the car before discovering a small driveshaft issue and parking the car. But I think I am gonna have to say, that Mike and Sue Verbas red V-6 turbo 64' was the "hit" of the day. They had a ton of people over there looking at the car everytime Mike parked it. It was great in my opinion. The hicks out here haven't ever seen anything like that before. Anyways.............................just wanted to "go public" and thank all that came out, .........well.........., for coming out.:TU: I hope yall had as much fun as I did (just wish I coulda beat my car like Gibson did). Now I have a few things to get ready so I can make a run to Kearney this coming weekend for the last race of the year. I had a blast riding in that thing!
