  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

    No problem, see Email...

I question anyhting that people attest to being gospel truth based upon one thing. I have no doubt that there are honorable people in the GM of Canada system.

But just like when I see "check Snopes" for political items, GM of Canada paperwork has been above questioning..That alone makes me suspicious. Have seen many cars that the paperwork is just too good to be true....and usually is. Hope it is a real one, then thay can add the VIN to the registry...:bglasses:

Easiest ultra rare car in the world to clone. Dr Decal has sold hundreds of fender decals over the 25 years he's been in business doing that. Considering there were only 500 of them to start with, that's a lot of repaints and resto's for the survivors that were originally intended to be race cars, not street cars...

Also there's a VERY high percentage of W31's that are popping up in Canada and Hawaii these days (?) Interesting. I also know of 6 of those 500 that are/were in New Hampshire, too. You know who....

I feel sorry for anyone that buys any car for mega bucks only to find out later that they've been ripped off by misrepresentation. JUst happened on one of my old cars that I restored that went for big $$$ last year...the 65 442 convertible. Nice car, and a real one, but put back together twice after serious accidents. Was not represented that way and the word "original" was highlighted too many times on its spec sheet.

Done right the last time when we did it, but not worth what he paid for it through an ad in Hemmings. He's now tearing it all down to do a complete frame off. Here's a pic of it from the cover of a local magazine taken last year when he bought it:

and a pic of it just before i sold it in 1998 for less than 1/3 what he paid.
