Basic parts needed....

Our 72 Skylark came with a/c....originally...when we picked it up all the parts were no longer with it...

That being said, I'd like to slowly ( and cost effectively ) start piecing together the parts for the a/c. I've called all the junkyards in the area and everyone says they do not have any A Bodies on hand...

Our plan is still to have it road worthy this spring and improve as we go (only weekend warriors here). If we find the evaporator box for under the hood would we have any issues only running the heater until we have everything hooked up for a/c?

    Thanks in advance!

The evaporator box has the blower motor mounted to it and directs the air into the vehicle through the firewall opening. So if the box is missing, you have neither ac or heat.

But if I have the evaporator box complete with blower mounted to the firewall I should at least be able to run heat until we get all the a/c parts?

I sold my ‘72 4 door parts car with AC to a local Buick guy in Utah. I can check if he’d want to ship to you? I think it’s complete and just lacking a compressor

He’s not on the board but in Hooper, UT. Maybe you’re traveling or know someone traveling this way that could haul that stuff for you? He’s willing to sell.
