    Nice. Valve covers indicate ram air but how can it function with full under-hood insulation? Was ram air an option yet in 66?

    Hmmmm....first 66 GTO I've ever seen with "gills" on the leading edge of the front fender

    Me too! I guess the original owner liked them and installed them himself soon after purchase. To each his own I suppose.:cool:

    A true ram air car factory built would be a 4M with 433's out back. The block code would be XS.

    From the for sale ad:

    The seller add that when the car was one month old his father accessorized and customized with the following touches: faux front fender vents from the Le Mans; chrome headlight covers; red vinyl pinstriping over the standard painted black pinstripe and on the louvered taillights; a hood-mounted bug deflector; curb feelers; and red fender liners.
