I will be re-covering my front seat soon and the arm rest plastic is horrible. I am in need on the plastic. I need it in white. Are these re-made anywhere, or is there a respectible one available for sale? Thanks for the help, Mike
Suncoupe armrest(s) I don't know if this will help, but I have an unused pair of reproduction ones still in the plastic that I ordered from year one that I didn't use on my '70 GS. These are the short ones that I think are correct for your application. (about 10"-12" long) These are black and must be painted the correct colour with a vinyl dye or interior paint to match your interior. If I could get $75 for them shipped I'd be happy...
I thought Mike was looking for the plastic piece that goes behind the seat armrest, on the split bench seat itself. I was looking for one myself for a year and gave up. I was hoping somebody had decided to repro. them by now. I'm still looking for a pearl white one.
Mike, For some reason white seem to be the most popular to disintegrate into a fine white powder. If you use SEM vinyl dye, you can make a nice white one. I have blue one out of a 71 Cutlass. Very good shape except the passenger side "hinge" cover that goes over the 2 bolts is cracked, but once on seat you will not notice. Plastic is not chalky and can be dyed. If interested I would like $35.00 to your door and that includes shipping. Email if interested for pics.
