The 54 Century two door post with the big (for that time) 322 inch nailhead. Early low buck muscle at its best!
Well, let's see...the public "voted" hands down for the 1955. If memory serves, this was the only year Buick has ever ranked third in national sales (behind Chevy and Ford). As I recall total sales were almost three-quarters of a million cars. During the rest of the 50's sales began to slump due to less popular styling, overall product problems and the rising popularity of "smaller cars". After enjoying the third position in 1955 sales started to go south and were down to less than 250,000 in 1959. I was a Buick dealer service manager back then...thanks for some great (and a few not-so-good) memories.
I don't know the older cars... But I love the 2 convertibles Smartin posted! I'd trade either for mine.:TU:
53 Skylark--#1 I mean, not only is the 53 Skylark the finest of the 50's It just might be the best production Buick ever made!!! Sam

woah! what's under the hood? Don't tell me a SBC....I don't think he would have the guts to show up to (what looks like) an all Buick show. Super sleek car though!
The '53 Skylark is the first choice, the modified one from NY is way cool, next choice would be a '56 any model, they all are cool! Here's mine
