My car sits on Cooper Lifeliner White wall/line tires 235/75/15 but they do have a lot of wobble in them, particular the rear ones. Is this bad luck or is this normal with Cooper? I am thinking of purchasing Michelin's. Any suggestions on other brands producing a good white wall? Thanks.
When I had my 67 Ford Galaxie 500 restored, I could only find whitewalls in Cooper tires - probably the same ones as you (car is in storage still so I can't look). My Coopers ride just fine. I've had the car up to 85 mph with no tire wobbles, etc. I had Cooper truck tires on my last truck for almost 7 years before I junked it 2 years ago, and they were great. Maybe you just got a bad set of tires? UticaGeoff
Hello, Try the Runway Enduro 75. It's a reasonably priced radial tire with a decent white wall and it looks good. I just put a set on my '65 Riviera.
Yes, I saw the tires getting balanced on the balancing equipment machine and they are far from the round they should be. I thought so too that Cooper should be a fine tire. Thanks.
I just found some Runway Enduro 075 235/75/15 for $76.99 each on a site called Simple Tire. That's my kind of price. My WW's on my Wildcat 1 are rotten, and getting wobbly. I tried to buy some Mastercraft's at Fleet Farm, but they discontinued their WW's
Could they be worse than the tires I have in the car now? My tires came from my friends 1980 Park avenue that he bought in 1988, and the tires weren't new then. Beggars can't be choosers.
Yes, i did read 1 review on simple tire.com I am not buying tires right away, i am still looking out for a good set. The set Coopers i have are not that good. Still have a lot of thread on them.
Yes you're right about the price. And they have the wider white line look i like but tire quality is more important to me. Do not have too many miles on the Coopers, problem is that i don't see any quality WW anymore from brands like Michelin or BF Goodrich. Maybe i should go with the Cooper Trendsetter...that would be Cooper again, don't know about that.
Did you check Coker Tire? They carry a few whitewall tires. One is their Coker American Classic Collector. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coker-Ameri...s_Car_Truck_Tires&hash=item4d1beef0af&vxp=mtr Sold through Summit Racing.
Anybody try the "Eldorado Golden Fury" whitewall? http://www.eldoradotire.com/tires/Detail.aspx?lineid=45&application=Passenger
