Best wishes to Bobb Makley Just want to post best wishes to Bob Makley. From what I gather,he suffered broken jaw(3 places),broken leg, broken ribs-this all resulting in brake failure at the end of the track.Thank God no internal injuries. He is in our prayers. (this accident occurred at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland today)
That's terrible.......The worst crap always happens to the people that deserve it least!! Take care Bobb,I wish you a speedy recovery!
oh man...sorry to hear that! Let's hope he bounces back...it's never good to hear of a fellow Buick guy get hurt in an accident!
I just called the hospital and Bobb is not in his room yet. I live very close to the hospital and spoke to John Stevens earlier...I wanted to let Bobb's wife know that I am available to do anything or get them anything they need locally. It's gotta be tough having this happen when he is so far from his home. We all wish you well Bobb.
Just spoke to Amy and Bob is out of one surgery and 2 more to go before the night is over. Amy knows there were pictures of Bob's car taken today and she does not want anything published so don't in newsletters or on any boards. If anyone sees anything make sure it is destroyed or erased. The family does not want this to go any further. Please respect her wishes. Our prayers are with the Makley family.
Geez, two more surgeries to go. What a shame. I hope the injuries he suffered are completely reversible with proper medical care.
Bob has 3 breaks in the jaw, a few ribs I believe both legs and right arm. We did take up a collection today to help with some expenses that are on the upcoming healing path for Bob. I will touch more on this after we get back from Cecil. Amy wants to thank everyone for the concerns and keep Bob in your prayers.
Thanks for the updates. Thanks for keeping us up to date. I will keek Bobb and his family in my thoughts and prayers.
Real sorry to hear about this, I am sure all of us here at V8 will be pulling for a speedy and complete recovery for Bobb. Also, I have been informed that the family requests that no pictures of the car be on the board here, and we will be honoring that request. JW
I was the 2nd guy to get to Bob's car right after the accident as my friend Art Paltz and I were the next two cars down the track right after the pair in front of us went. As we got done and turned to go onto the return road the driver who was racing Bob was running up the hill waving his arms frantically, I got out and ran down into the woods and told Art to drive to get help which he did. We tried to pry the door open but it wouldn't budge, thankfully the EMS and track officals got there and got Bob stabilzed, it was a scary sight to see him there and pinned. Bob and his family are in my thoughts and prayers and wish him a quick recovery. Rich Rezes Buicksx2@AOL.com
