The guy who is selling the grill is no good. He was selling a pair of 1970 NOS taillight lenses about a month ago. I won them and when I got them they were used!!! When I sent them back he kept $50 for handling cherges. tailight lenses YES!!! Be very aware!!!! I have been beat out twice now on his "last remaining set" of NOS tailight lenses, and on both occassions, he has emailed me later and told me that he found one more set, not in the box that he would let me have for my high bid. I noticed that three of the previous sets he had sold and had positive feedback, had the same winning bidder, and all had the "last set" description. He has pulled that with an oldsmobile buddy of mine on a few items also. I ended up buying a very nice used set, polishing and repainting the silver, and would dare anyone to tell me if i put them in my car or NOS. John YES!!! Be very aware!!!!

Is this the same "Originality Plus" that advertises in Hemmings?? If so, complain to Hemmings. They don't want scum bags advertising in their publication and they WILL address it. I contacted them a long time ago about Desert Valley in AZ regarding a 69 quarter panel that took 50 years to ship to me and they would not respond to my calls. I contacted Hemmings and filed a complaint and they contacted Desert Valley with a letter that said they need to resolve it or risk being removed from their publication. I was dumbfounded how Hemmings followed up on this. So if this "Originality Plus" is the same company that advertises in Hemmings, he "can" be dealt with if he doesn't straighten up and fly right. If it's not the same one, then he's illegally using their name anyway!
originality plus I bought a 1970 gauge pack from them and I guess I got lucky. I did see some things going on with the bids that I found a bit troubling like John made light of in a earlier post. I stopped looking at ther auctions when they put up for bid a 72 map light type mirror for the starting bid of $225.00 :jd: , AL
I purchased a NOS grill from them this year and found them to be okay to deal with.Prices were high, but he will haggle on price. Got him down to a reaonable price for a 70 NOS grill. Started at $1100 and ended up at $700. Slow shipping, but parts were real nice. I know they have been moving their place 60 miles to the north of where they were. Said he has 900 cars to move, so I would assume he is a busy little beaver. Sorry to hear about your experience. Hope you can rectify it.
hombre behind every bush I am just happy this car is pretty much finished.....I have a few tweaking's to do, but I would hate to be out just starting a total restoration on a car now....particularly a basket case. People like that make it less fun to restore a car nowadays. I have a small restoration business, and i warn my clients going into it that there is an "hombre behind every bush". I do realize that my last 6 years of restoring my own car would have gone much better, had i found this forum sooner. Lots of great info, and lots of "REAL BUI-PHILES" here. My hat is off to you all.
