Well, after a long day at work, I decided to take the newly acquired 70 Riv home tonight. It's about a 40 mile drive from North Carolina to my home here in Tennessee. So, about a quarter of the way home as I am turning onto the state 2 lane that goes across the mt. into TN, I see 2 vehicles coming. I wait for them to pass only to see the second one's (late 90's Mustang GT) co-pilot pointing and laughing at the huge tan Riv. So, I quickly forget about them and just let it ride (it had been a tough day you know  ). But, because of a turning truck, I catch up with them.

Well, this is supposed to happen this way since all the timing is correct (sign from above). Next worry was getting blown away causing more laughing from them. So, I am ready when they start rolling. They didn't do it. They just normally pull away. Ok, I dodged the bullet. Then, being the smart ass tweenies they were, they start slowing down and laughing with eachother. They get down to 25 mph and take off. :3gears: Pedal to the floor and the big Riv starts rolling. It got a fresh tune last week and a 308 posi this week, so I trusted it. 40 mph and the Riv is there. 80 mph and the Riv is still there. 90 mph and the Riv is hanging tough. Triple digits and the chrome bumper is closing. :spank:

Ok, now all I am thinking about is the mountain ahead and me trying to wrestle this big thing around the curves. But, no worry. Now, with his smile gone and his co-pilot now laughing at him he puts on his signal. He pulls off the road to let the big boat by. :3gears: :3gears: Some of you are saying, that isn't a kill. Well, I agree. But, I bet it killed the GT driver.

Here's a hint for any stock GT owners out there. If you plan on racing a 455 powered luxury barge, don't wait till your going 25. Do it from a dead stop. And, if you plan on racing a 455 powered A-Body. Stay stopped!!

Cool story, I bet they'll think twice before messing with 455 power again. :Brow:

    Nice drafting session!

Cool :bglasses: Triple digits is what I live for. It's a gas cruising at 70+ on the I-roads then turning her loose and letting those 308's do there thing for a few miles. :TU:
