Trevor and I would like to say "thank you", for all you guys do, to make this race the best thing in the Muscle Car hobby!

I watched the weather throughout the week, and truth be told, was skeptical whether we would get this one in. What happened Friday shocked us in that the weather at the track was near perfect. Saturday looked spotty initially, then cleared up with a couple hiccups along the way. Just goes to show you that you never really know. "That's why you play the game"

Well done peeps and thanks for having us :beers2: :TU:

    Yes yes, I'll second that.

Thanks to everyone who helps make it happen, Dan, Dennis, Lyndon, all the way down to the guy in the shack passing us our time slips.
    Thank you. Good times.

Also a big thank you to Rich (Rix Fix) for the use of his carb. I'll call you sometime this week about returning it.

And also a special thank you to Diego for inviting my Grand Daughter Madalyn, and her two Grandpas, to watch the races from the tower. She is still talking about it!

    What a great time!!!!

    Frank, glad you are ok.

Great to have Munson back too after a little hiatus. Looks like the new hotel worked out great also, even though we tried to get ourselves kicked out  but I think we are ok.

    Thanks Dan,Dennis,Lyndon.
I had faith we would get the weather we needed to get the event in.
As always, the most fun you can have with your clothes on(at least most of us kept our clothes on) who was the naked guy climbing the pole in the circus tent at the Hotel???

Anyway, great time with old firends, and a warm welcome to the new people who joined our family this year, hope to see everyone next year, and this was my last time spectating.

And Frank, so sorry for your mishap, but was relieved to see that you were ok, as much as it sucks to see that, we can replace body panels, we can't replace people.

:TU: :TU: A great show again, Dan, Dennis, and Lyndon. Thank you!

For those who thought the event wouldn't get in any racing on Friday, get this: Mrs. Ledford's son told me Saturday morning that the track recorded 931 separate runs/races on Friday! That's some serious racing! :)

"Mrs. Studebaker," Mary Ann Harbit, seems to be doing well. Thanks for everyone's concern, and condolences to Frank Rice. :Comp: BP

Frank, I just happened to be texting with Chris when you hit the wall. Glad to hear you are ok, hopefully the car isn't TOO bad.
I want to thank everyone for posting all the pictures on Facebook, not the same as being there but better than missing out on EVERYTHING. You talk yourself into it being the right thing to do and that you'll be fine with missing it and then the pictures start coming. Then its :Dou:! Lol. I will surely not miss another. Looking forward with optimism for next year of not only being the but having something to participate with too. It's kinda like missing out on a family reunion, without all the bad stuff! Lol.
Donny, your sons run in the vette is spectacular!

Thank you goes out to Dan,Dennis, and Lyndon for putting on a great event. I know there are so many people involved behind the scenes such as the track crew... Your efforts are noticed and appreciated. Also got to thank the Maher's and Mr Hemker for putting on the challenge. Id say it was a success (I know I was not ready to be done racing after shoot outs)
    Everybody had a blast.
Frank- we are all glad you are ok. The same goes for mrs. Harbit.
Tom Miller- glad to hear you will not be a spectator next year.

Well at the 12th hour I decided to not make the trip because of the rain that WAS suppose to come. I guess it was a bad call on my part. WTF with these weather people. Anyways it was great to see that everyone got to race and had a good time. Even tho I was not there I want to say thanks to everyone involved in putting this race together. Sorry to hear of some of the mishaps that happened too. And a thank you to Donny and Frank for keeping me informed of all the action!! I really felt like crap when Mr. Remlinger sent me a pic with his GTS titled " Sunny skis. Let's go racing" on Friday!! Now I'm really saying to myself what was I thinking??!

Finally made it out for the first time, and most certainly will not be my last. The drive there and back turned out to be manageable, nothing broke, no drama of any kind! Rain actually held off (mostly), and when I counted up my time slips I got more than 30 runs in over the weekend!

Met some great people in person that I have only known through this forum - the Millers, Clary's and McNichols let us hang with them, introduced us to everyone and generally made us feel right at home.

Dennis and Dan were super cool during tech, and the crowd really seemed to dig having a nailhead compete for the first time.

All in all, it was nice to hang with a bunch of like minded folks, who have been where you've been and get what you're doing.

And full disclosure: while Tom took the fall for it, it was really me who ate most of Rhonda's cookies.

A big THANK YOU to Dan, Dennis, Lyndon, the rest of the behind the scenes crew and the Track Personnel for another GREAT event!!!!
I had a great time and an pretty sure most everyone else did as well.
I'm pretty sure the Bracket challenge will return next year. We will be discussing it over the next few months to see if any changes are needed like opening it up to every one.

Like to add our thanks to Dan, Dennis and Lyndon plus all the others in the background that provides all the fun we have every year. Our normal five hour drive home lasted nine hours this time but Mary Ann is doing well. Just will be quite a while before she looks normal again. Right now, she has the racoon look.

She will heal but unfortunately Frank's beautiful '57 cannot heal body parts. Has to be the worst part of the race but given time, Frank will get it back in fine shape. Shame something like that has to happen to such a great guy like Frank.

On behalf of Dennis and Lyndon, thank you for coming to race at the Mid Michigan Motorplex. Also, thank you to those who help out behind the scenes. Without their help, it would be impossible to bring you this race!

We've done the Pure Stock Drags for so long now, that it has become more like a family reunion, and racing our musclecars is somewhat secondary! We really enjoy bringing this race to you, and we plan to continue well into the future. (Next year's dates are September 16 and 17, 2016.)

Despite a couple brief rain delays, all I saw were optimistic faces and the warm track dried out quickly for the action to continue.

Thanks again for attending! It was good seeing you all!

    Dan, Dennis, and Lyndon
