Block is Unclean, Now What? It's Worse!

    Got it out. Vac and air didn't work.

    It took a poke with a hot wire to get it out.

    Now I can clean some more. Also, what should I reseal the rear hex plug with?

    Cleaned and cleaned and cleaned with swabs and bore brushes. Bottom is where I started and the top was where I finished.

    Finally getting there. Put the galley plugs in with #1 permatex, says it is quick setting and dries hard.

    I did. That's what I cleaned before assembly. I even blew out the water jackets first.

    If you're going to shove something down your guns/motor...at least spend a few bucks on a dewey rod! Their really not much more than a metal rod cleaning kit, and it has bearings in the handle that twist with the rifling while cleaning.

    ;) Trust me on this. Stop cleaning rifles with a metal rod. You can't un-**** the damage from a metal rod.

    It is aluminum and I don't think it does any damage
