Blower motor help...65 Lesabre

    I'm attempting to change the blower motor on my Father in law's 65 Lesabre...cant seem to get to the location gor the blower motor. Any help?

    Are you sure it is the motor itself? There are several other things that can cause the motor to not run.

    Resistor, switch, etc.?? If so, how do you test those?

    I would start with 12 volts to the motor and confirm it runs. Most likely it will and work backward from there.

    So...did some testing, the resistors bad...any idea where to find one?

    AC and non AC cars use different parts. If the resistor array is bad, it should still work in the high speed blower position.

    A frequent issue that causes it to not blow in any speed position is a disconnected ground wire to the blower motor.

    My 1969 GS only has a power connection. The ground is through the mounting bolts.
