65 special 2 door sedan . pop'd the body off the frame about a week ago and saturday took the frame down for a quick blast and splash . the body-to-frame "rubbers" are ok but not great . would be a good time to replace obviously but the local gm store said "not available" . anybody have any ? know of a source to get some ? year one type of place maybe ? thanks . del
I think 65-72 are the same. www.opgi.com and www.thepartsplaceinc.com carry the body bushing kits w/hardware.
looked around a little and the opg (original parts group) parts that george led me to looks about as good as any with fair price for the mounts . also looking at fuel and brake lines . kinda leaning towards classic tubes ( gsca advertiser ) for at least the front and center brake lines . got a 9 inch rear and brake proportioning valve up by the master cyl ( using a 67 malibu dual non power master cylinder ) and may have to fab those brake lines by hand . i had the gas tank pick-up upgraded to 3/8" so may have to fab there also . any tips or precautions appreciated . thanks . del
