Since I saw someone selling used lifters with no cam on hereou: I'd figure I'd see if anyone wanted this MSD 6A CD ignition box. Stopped sparking. $20 + Shipping
There is a fusable link in these boxes....just a thin gauge wire that acts as a fuse. It's possible that is the problem.
You can send it to MSD and they will rebuild it for a pretty fair price. I had mine done awhile back but can't remember what I paid, just that I was happy about it. And I'm a cheapskate so it must have been a good deal :grin:
How do I open the box? I think there are some rivets in the mounting holes that hold the back plate on.
I ground off the rivets and looked inside. Nothing to see, but a bunch of electrical non-sense. However, with further diagnoses, the box is not delivering any voltage to the coil. So there ya go.
