Bud's Auto Salvage yard in Gowen, MI has late 60's and early 70's model cars as far as the eye can see. I just visited to get some trinket items for my 70 GS. Buicks seem to be the smallest GM section, but there are at least 15 skylarks, at least one being a 71 or 72 convertable, a couple of Sport Wagons, and I even saw a 68 or 69 GS! Cars are stacked so roofs and hoods might not be good, but alot of good parts left. I paid a premium price, but where else would I get the parts right? The rules are: walk back, find what you need, call the office on your cell phone, tell them what you found before you remove it. They will then drive to you and quote you a price on the spot. You can then make a decision if you want it bad enough. I will be going back up there in a couple of weeks for another walk through. I can scope some stuff out if anyone is interested. We don't need to rush too much, they told me they will never crush and sell the old stuff for scrap.

    Mike,

Thanks for the tip. See if by Chance there is a 1970 2 door Post Sedan Skylark there the next time you visit. I`ll pm you my cell number...you can call me when there.

    Thanks,
    Dan.

    Mike,

This site is probably the best place to find any part you may need. The prices are usually pretty good too.

Goran, I will look when I get out there again in about 2 weeks. I will take my camera with me next time. I'll start a list of requests, so I don't forget anyone.

That's the one! The cool part is they will let you walk back and look around. Some around here will not let you do that anymore. Insurance reasons I guess. I would rather spend the afternoon in a junk yard with my boys than a picnic at the park!

Havnt been there in many years. They had an old pink caddy conv.
hidden inside 2 semi trailers that were cut in half and stuck together.
Way to the back of the yard.Lots of neat stuff there(used to be anyway)

Gary, I have you on the list. I'm overwhelmed with work right now and can't slip away. Get it while you can before you get canned, right?
