Just gathering interest, post on here please if you are interested: Sonny Seal has run the fastest 350 wihout power adder and had a girdle made to keep things nice and comfy in the bottom end even with huge compression and repeated beatings. I am hopefully having one of these girdles made for my boosted 350 and looking to see if anyone else wants in on this. This is not a bolt on, it requires machining of the main caps, studs, some time into setup and an allign hone. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=71896&page=2 Post #33 has a picture of the template
Tweety needs some TLC but he still has it, and hopefully will get to cme out and play again some day!
it sounds pretty steep but 400 sounds like the number unless we can get a decent sized run. A lot cheeper that re-building from scratch though... I'm not saying most people need this girdle but the few of us really pushing things would sleep a bit better at night with our 350 mains all cozy and cuddled by a girdle.
$400 to protect it is nothing... considering the cost of the twins setup, FI, etc, etc...lol. $400 to protect all your add-ons is cheap. When do you need the money... this isn't going to be another "bulldog" fiasco is it??? On board...
I am just setting up interest, and gathering names. I wil not be taking anyones money, I'll keep you all posted as things progress. Waiting to hear back from a few people then we can make the next step.
hell 400 is cheaper then what i was expecting( 600 or so) so i'm definatly inwhen you give me the word. btw, are the set up for CC or do i need to send in s check/money order beed to know so i dont put all my cash to pay my CC bills..
is $400 including the shims, washers, main studs, and oil pan studs, like in the RJC v6 kit? or is it going to be just the girdle itself? I was thinking of making my own girdle, as I have a vertical mill, but motivation is low.
