Anyone know if this is a go this year? I usually go to Musclepalooza the day after but have to skip Buick day. This year I should be good to go.. Anyone know if its happening, and who plans to go if it is?
This year will be a BOP event since we have not had many Buicks the last few years. The usual Northeast GS/GN gang will be on hand. It is on May 28. Hope to see some new faces this year.
I should be there. I have been going to Musclepalooza regularly before the pandemic hit but was never able to make the Buick day before for one reason or another. This year I plan to skip the palooza and go the day before.. If anyone is camping, I'd love to set a tent up nearby.
Rob Giroux has a motor home & stays over as this is his home track. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you staying near him.
I'm kinda late for the party regarding this but which hotels nearby do people stay at? My friend's wife has Marriott points, that's why I ask. She may get screwed by it being the holiday weekend, though. I may have her call anyway.
@Brett Slater I grew up there…not much around. If you want a little bit of a nice town, stay in Lenox, MA area and drive over. It’s very close by and your car will be there in the AM. If you enjoy local beer, check out the Roaring Twenties brewery in Lebanon or S&S farm brewery in Nassau. Both are close and good. My dad was the vet in Nassau, he used to look after the cows at that farm decades ago….☺️
John, I'm coming up with the car Saturday morning. Are there tickets to purchase to get into Saturday's event? Also - and I'm on the fence regarding Sunday's show because I'd rather not be tied to the car all day since this will be my first time going - is there a safe spot to park during Musclepalooza? I'd like to come back to the car after spending the day checking everything out and not have to worry. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
Purchase tickets at the gate. Sunday is a mad house. Plan on getting there by 8 the latest to get parking inside the show field which is the place to park & keep an eye on it as you wonder around. See you Saturday
I am looking for a q-jet for a 455, 1972 preferred but I'll look at other years, core condition is fine. I'll be a buyer at the track.
The weather looks lousy for Saturday morning. There is a chance of clearing around noon. Will they cancel the day or just open later?
Looks like it will be a washout. I know I will not be taking a chance driving up. Rob Giroux will check with the track owner Sunday if we can have a raindate.
Same for me. Please update this thread with any info. Sunday looks good but I think I'm over Musclepalooza.
