Recently picked up a set of 15x7 painted rallies from a 76 or 77 Regal. They are 4 3/4 bolt pattern. The trim rings are missing. Does anyone know if these rings are specific to these wheels? Are they suppose to be deep enough to touch the welded ring? Does the hole for the valve stem need to be the slotted type? Have tried a couple of rings I have here but they do not fit properly. Any help with this would be appreciated.
    Thanks, John

If the rims are anything like the rims on the olds omega (i owned a '78) & cutlass, then the rings are deep. they have what looks like multiple barbs that hold the ring to the rim shell. the ring itself does not touch the rim shell at all.

I've got a 73 GS with the 15" radial tire/painted rally option, with all the original trim rings. The rings end about 3/4"-1" from the hub section of the rim, right at the first "step" in the outer rim. This picture doesn't show that too clearly, but it's all I've got handy. And the OEM rings were held on with clips that fastened at the outer rim, where the wheel weights clip on....which flat out sucks, I hate the design. They are about 2 1/4" deep, and the stem hole is about a 1" by 1/2" oval. If you need detail shots, PM me your cell # and I can text them to you.

Good luck, those are a pretty cool find.
