In line for the '67 decklid.
Is it straight (hard to tell from the pics with my weak eyes)? And are there any areas that look like they may be rusting through soon?
Please send close ups of the roughest areas to 67skylark@earthlink.net

    Thanks,

    Joe,
I'm off tomorrow, Tuesday, will pull the trunklid out of the garage and see if I can get some good close ups pics:kodak: and will let you know what I see. If I recall, it is a very straight trunk, solid surface under the suface rust with one or two pin hole size areas where the rust has started to come thru at the edge but I could be thinking of another item and not this. I might not be able to get you those pics till I get back to work on Wed.

Thanks Peter! I am also wondering if it was originally on a Special since it does not look to have holes for the chrome trim as on the Skylark and GS.

Joe, It is from a Special as there are no holes for the Chrome trim. My son is here with me tonight to see if we can get the camera to work from this computer. The top surface does have the surface rust as the picture shows but appears to be completely solid under the surface rust. However the underside of the trunk (where it would meet the above bumper) does have a couple of dime size rust holes. I will try to get the pictures for you tomorrow.

Thanks for the extra pics, and the honest description! I'll have to pass on this one. There is a member "Revenant" who posted that he is interested in one even if rusty. You may want to pm him - he may still need one and yours is priced nicely.

    Best Wishes,

I realize its been awhile but do you still have the 67 decklid? If so how much for simply the "BUICK" lettering on it? As I am in need.

    thanks,
    Tom
