Can anyone help me out with names of companies that supply Buick parts?
I have a complete 1972 455 GS which needs to be reassembled. I need mostly products to clean up and renew old parts, shine up stainless steel, products to renew plastic parts like the fan shroud. I need some kind of screw and bolt kit if available. I also want to buy a new gas tank.

    Thanks,
    George

I've been kinda looking for a gas tank for my 67 ragtop too.
Why do they all come without the filler neck?
    Isn't that welded on?
How big of a deal is it to install the filler neck?
    Thanks

The filler necks are soldered in. A radiator shop should be able to help you out on that.

Do they cut the filler neck out of my old tank?
Seems kinda dangerous to me.

Or can I buy a new one?
Every tank I've seen for 67's comes without a neck, and I've never seen the necks avaliable anywhere.

The neck can be re-used out of the old tank by melting the solder off with a soldering iron which does not cause any sparks. Heat itself won't ignite gasoline vapors. A person still wants to have the tank thoroughly cleaned out though.
I'm sure some radiator shops won't do it, but you should be able to find one that will.
