I as just left the house tonight to go get dinner for me and the wife when a green 2003ish Rustang GT convertible meets me at the first corner. The Kid behind the wheel hushed to catch up to me at the next stop sign and starts rompin the poor 4.6 liter with what sounded like Flow Masters. He had 2 young ladies in the car with the top down. So I know he was trying to show off how "BAD" his Rustang was. As we turned on to a main street at the first light he is behind me giving that poor 4.6 the devil. The road opened up to 3 lanes and I pulled to the right side to let him get up close. We lined up at the next light I am still in drive at this point no real need to do any power shifts on this kid. So I let him run me to the next light. he starts talking smack to the 2 ladies about how he just smoked me....... So I speak-up and say lets do 2 out of 3 and let him know my poor Olds is over 30 years old and almost bone stock. He agreed and we staged up. This next run I still kept it in drive and let him pull about 3 cars ahead. At this point I was only doing 40 and decided to let him see what a Buick 350 was about. Dropping all the way to low I floored it taking advantage of my 3.08 gears to tach up to about 4k and push it to 4.5k then slapped into 2nd as I passed him. Then on into drive. At the next light he slowly pulls up beside me and I asked him if we really need to run the 3rd time. The ladies are givin him absolute hell at this point about getting beat by the Olds. He promptly turned off and disappeared.

One more mustang down only about a million more of those buggers to kill but I am doing my part to contribute.....

I had the exact same car back in the early 80's. A 75 Omega with a SBB. That car was great. Nice kill.

    Great story Greg.
I love it when a punk gets put in his place. I'm waiting for the day I do it with with my old '59 Willys panel truck with the heart beat of a BBB & '87 GN 200-4r...

Thanks and the best part is that this is a mostly original Cali car less the smog pump but still stupid low compression.
