shane, keep up the effort,we do appriciate it!!!

i have been watching this with interest, although i dont need the grill myself.for these guys to manufacture a part painted correctly or not is outstanding :TU: the concoures guys obviously if they have been in the hobby any length of time should know reproduction parts are just that.a show judge should be able to pick out a repo over oem no matter how its painted.i would much rather have something than nothing.put $20.000+into a resto & whine about a couple $6 cans of paint & a couple hours of work is rediculous, those owners should be happy to have anything :puzzled: if we piss these guys off by insulting their efforts, everyone loses.i also agree that tons of oe parts come flawed, right out the box, give tpp some slack here.what they have done is commendable,jw also.dont let these options dry up :Dou:

    Very Satisfied wit TPP

Just another thumbs up fpr The Parts Place Inc. I have spent a few thousand bucks there in the past year, and I have always been satisfied with their products! They consistently have better prices than most places, and I am satisfied with the quality of the parts. Don't stop doing what you are doing guys I think you are doing an exceptional job!! :TU:

    Pat & Dustin,

I usually don't post that often but I've been reading all these posts over grills not painted properly.

I am a business man and can appreciate the effort into the R & D and cost for the new parts TPP is developing.

Since there are not many vendors out there willing to make Buick parts I have a solution for you. I received my correctly painted grill today and is exceptional!! I also have 2 NOS grills that need painting from being in the original box for 36 years. You send me your incorrectly painted grill and I will send you my correctly painted grill. I will pay for your shipping and not charge you for me shipping mine to you. Or you can buy one of my NOS grills for $1,000 plus shipping.

I am in your shoes!!!! I got my grill and it is painted the wrong color and I dont care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to buy a NOS one for $1000.00 in August but this part is new and 600.00 cheaper.

Its not correct and I am happy happy happy happy so happy I could $hit and wipe with the extra 600 dollars in my pocket.

STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

Ya know I am so totally hacked off at all this @#*! I cannot even read beyond the first page.

    They made us grills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They saved us tons of money over buying 36 year old brittle parts!!!!!!

THESE ARE NEW GRILLS NEW NEW NEW NEW!!!!

The company I own manufacturers equipment and I can tell you right now if I had anyone raising this much hell over some damn paint WHICH I OFFERED TO REPAIR and I was hearing this mess, I'd never sell them another damn thing!

This is the maddest I have ever been on this board.Their are even people offering to pay out of their own pockets to satisfy the troublemakers and that STILL isn't good enough?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been around GS's for 35 of my 43 years and have been totally addicted to them and was COMPLETELY THRILLED to see this mans company step forward to do this for us.

I REALLY REALLY hope he reconsiders letting us drift back into the Dark Ages of NO FREAKIN parts while our neighbors can build a complete Chevy out of a catalogue.

I tell ya Shane, and like I said I could not read anymore so it may have been mentioned, but any future parts you might consider making for us that require
painting that is difficult to confirm I'd sell the damn thing UNPAINTED.

They could be sold cheaper, produced faster, and the perfectionists could spend as much time as they want making them to their liking.

I understand when people feel like they didn't get what they paid for but the manufacturer, and Jim, and people offering their own money attempted to make this right and that still wasn't enough.

Thanks for hacking off the best chance we have for future parts.Better start saving up for more outrageously priced 36 year old parts!

    Real good move.

Life is too short to deal with people like that. GOOD BYE
