I have a question for the buick guru's . I recently purchased a boat with an aluminum buick v-8 with a 2 bbl carb, rochester i believe the valve covers take 4 phillips head screws to attach them the oil pump is located on the passenger side front and is cast into the front cover. I would really love to know what engine I have thank you

If it is aluminum block, then you have a 215. The distributor should be in the front, and the valve covers are vertical, not slanted at 45 degrees.

Sounds like a 215 cu. in. aluminum buick engine. Great little engine for a boat. Not sure about parts availability though.

Is it an auto or marine engine? My Crusader 327 V-8 will only accept about 50% GM auto parts.

With a Buick V8 in a boat, you will get "WET BEHIND THE EARS"...
