The Skylark in "9 to 5" is the only one I've seen that has the body side 'sweepspear' but no matching quarter panel moulding. Apart from mine that is. Thanks for posting
I just watched Kindergarten Cop 2. There is a Red 70 or 71 Skylark convertible I only could take 15 min of this before I turned it off. The Movie was released May 2016
Just watched "Killing Them Softly" and Brad Pitt was driving a 70-2 Skylark as a "ditch it after the crime" vehicle.
Apparently, a film named "Behind the candelabra" (2013) had a model year 1976 Century wagon in it. It's now for sale at Country Classic Cars in Staunton, IL: Click screenshot to view the advertisement and more photos :Comp: If you don't like the whole piano theme, CCC also has a regular 1976 Century wagon for sale: Click here :Comp:
Filmed in 2010 in the Atlanta area. My car in the movie: The Greening of Whitney Brown. There's a cool chase scene that is about 40 seconds in the movie. It's available on DVD. The motion GSX is also filmed for the "pretty car" shots. Kris Kristofferson, Aidan Quinn, Brooke Shields were all in the movie.
Hi, Not sure if this made the list, but Gator, 1976, Burt Reynolds drives a 66 convertible think Lesabre, 3 portholes, at the end of the movie. Regards,
Right after the intro song in “Cheers” Season 1 Episode 4 you get some dude cruising with his arm on top of the door of his Skylark.
Dirty Harry during the bank robbery/ diner scene early in the movie the same cream colored Skylark keeps driving by in all the background shots.
Here is a picture of my 69 Motion Equipped Gs in the 1971 movie titled "Born to Win". It is still wearing it's factory paint and wheels before it was changed over. The bottom picture is how it looks today. Duane
Was watching Speed Zone and saw this Skylark near the end of the movie he passes John Candy so it gets a little airtime.
"Did it belong to you when it was in the movie?" No it was supposedly owned by the production company and was put in this scene as an "extra" vehicle, just like they do with people, as in extras. We are still looking for more info, as to whether it was owned by the production company itself or one of the people that owned the production company. Duane
When they filmed Friday Night Lights in Odessa Tx about Permian High School football team, my son was in the movie as an extra football player in several scenes. The film crew wanted older cars so he took my 70 GS up to the stadium and it ended up being in a night time scene out side of the Cottonpatch bar, Tim McGraw played a drunk dad, came out and leaned against it, but that didn’t make it in the final cut , but it did end up in a very quick shot of a sign outside of the bar, you have to know it is there to see it in the background.
